I’ve always believed the best memories are built around a fire—especially the kind that cooks a damn good pizza. And now, I’m finally doing something that’s been on my mind (and heart) for a long time.
Every month, I’ll be giving away one of our 1000mm pizza oven mould to a community group somewhere in Australia. No catch. Just a simple way to bring people together—hands in the mix, bricks in the stack, and dough in the oven.
Why?
Because someone once gave me a shot when I needed it most. Years ago, I worked alongside John—the legend who came up with the original Pizza Oven In A Box cardboard mould. We spent years testing, building, and laughing our way through every stage of this product. He passed the reins to me a couple of years back, and as a single mum, this little business helped keep me going.
Now John’s over 90 and living it up, but we still chat—and I know this idea would make him proud. He always said, “You can’t sell a secret.” So John, here’s me shouting it loud: This is your legacy in action. Your mould, your idea, still bringing people together. And now it’s going even further.
How it works:
Each month I’ll post on socials, calling out for nominations. If you know a community group—whether it’s a men’s shed, a local school, a scout hall, or a bunch of mates who want to build something that brings people together—tag them. Nominate them. Tell me why they’d love this. That’s all I ask in return.
I want to hear the stories. I want to see the builds. I want to share the laughs, the mistakes, and the final pizza feasts. Because this isn’t about perfection—it’s about getting stuck in, together.
